hello!

you made it! thanks so much for stopping by, I can't to share my day to day with you! happy drifting, dreamers.

you are who you are

you are who you are

its about time. about time to push back the veil of perfect and just be the best you that there can be. Over the past few weeks I have had a good bit of "alone time" and for an extroverted type-A that means a whole lot of thinking/processing/analyzing. This can get me into trouble as my emotions tend to go on a roller coaster and I create those down-the-rabbit-hole situations that are 99.9% never going to happen, but not this time - this time it lead to a period of growth. Something I didn't know that I needed, but am so glad that I stumbled upon.

Have you ever thought about a full breakdown of your day? How much time you spend working, how much you spend with friends/fam, how much you look at your screens, working out, outside, sleeping, eating, etc.....this thought came to me as I started to realize that my eye site was clouding solely because I had been spending too much time looking at my tiny little screens. How much of your day is lost? How much of your day is pushing you forward? and how much of your day is helping push those around you further? I went through a period of time where all I was doing was looking around - seeking to see what the people around me were doing/going/saying/whatever and that made me a little crazy because what good does that do for your own soul? If we are constantly looking around then hell, that never gives us time to look within. You can not fill another's cup without first filling your own

I decided right then and there as I was playing the comparison game in my brain that it was time to shut that down. I turned my gaze inward and starting focusing on the parts of myself that I could improve and then in turn could be there, fully THERE IN THE MOMENT, for those around me. and I could be myself!!!!! oh the things you will accomplish if you are 100% yourself! What works for one person, doesn't work for 100 - and another person your age (or family member or similar business or whatever you tend to compare to) that is doing amazingly well and living that dream life has a different path than you. We are all on different paths, and ALL of us have curves and thunderstorms and trials and bad days.

I do not have anything figured out by any means, but when those crazy thoughts of "do more, buy more, go more, spend more, etc...." start creeping in my head I am learning to turn it down to a whisper instead of a shout. I will be the first to say how much I enjoy my "things" and how much I LOVE to find the perfect insta pic angle - but that's not always real life. From a million worldy outlets we are all fed opinions and pictures and ideas that we have to do the coolest things or be some sort of way, but that's not true. We are all beautiful, and we are all living our lives day by day.

I had an amazing convo with one of my favorite people/major inspirational souls @jennyvantland recently and she just sparked a little fire with the conversation that we had (Jenny if you read this you are loved!!!). There is so much more out there than just constantly being "tuned in" what if we all "tuned out" and just did what made us happy? Take a walk on the beach,  wear a t-shirt for a week, tell your friends you love them, and just keeping rocking on as the coolest you that there is cause you are AWESOME. We are all made for greater things, and we have the greatest treasure in heaven. We are living on borrowed time my friends, and each day is a gift!

Give yourself a break, find some rest, and just know that we are all in our time. Find what inspires you, spend time in that! Fill your brain with those beautiful things.
